Senate Candidate ARRESTED Over Assassination Threats

A Pennsylvania Democrat running for U.S. Senate faces federal charges after allegedly leaving graphic death threats against President Trump, a member of Congress, and the lawmaker’s daughter over a nine-month period.

Violent Voicemails Detail Planned Attacks

Raymond Chandler III, who declared his candidacy for Pennsylvania’s 2028 Senate race, allegedly left multiple threatening voicemails beginning April 2025. In one recording, he graphically described a scenario where billionaires and their families would be surrounded by armed mobs who would slit their throats. The FBI criminal complaint details how Chandler specifically targeted an unnamed Congress member and referenced the lawmaker’s daughter in his violent fantasies.

In a second voicemail from April 29, 2025, Chandler allegedly directed the Congress member to assassinate President Trump. He described in explicit detail how he wanted the lawmaker to walk into the Oval Office with a firearm, put it to the President’s temple, and pull the trigger. Chandler claimed this request was protected free speech and petitioning for redress of grievances.

Campaign Platform Embraces Far-Left Policies

Chandler’s campaign website promotes taxing billionaires as his top priority among sixteen policy goals. His platform includes abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement and establishing universal basic income. He hopes to challenge Senator John Fetterman in the 2028 Democratic primary. Additional voicemails referenced armed resistance against ICE and expressed fears about government-run death camps, according to the FBI affidavit.

Federal Charges Filed in Western Pennsylvania

The Western District of Pennsylvania charged Chandler with threatening a federal official and threatening to retaliate against a federal official by targeting a family member. The charges stem from voicemails left between April 2025 and January 2026. In one message, Chandler allegedly told the Congress member he recently purchased a seven-inch combat knife and dagger because he feared the government would kill him. The FBI documented his willingness to engage in armed conflict with federal immigration enforcement.
