Where are the $2,000 Checks?

President Joe Biden doesn’t seem to know what he’s saying half the time.

But the other half of the time he seems to know perfectly well but be doing his best to lie and avoid telling the truth about what’s going on.

It’s quite a disturbing combination, to say the least.

Take the issue of $2,000 checks. These were supposedly a done deal once Biden was in office. Heck, it’s the reason many people said they even voted for him in the first place.

He was very clear that those lovely checks would be rolling off the federal printing press once he was POTUS but now a very frustrating question has started to pop up more and more:

Where are the $2,000 checks?

No, seriously.

Where are the Checks, Mr. President?

In a rare occurrence, Biden actually faced real questions from the media recently, including a reporter who’s not just there to joke about donuts or how Biden’s feeling today. That would be Fox News’ Peter Doocy, who’s also been causing quite the headache to Press Secretary Jen “Circle Back” Psaki in recent weeks.

Biden was not very happy with Doocy after. That’s because Doocy actually called out his lies, asking him where the $2,000 checks were that Biden previously promised would be headed everyone’s way right away if Democrats took control of the Senate by winning Georgia. They won Georgia. The checks are still nowhere to be found.

“Mr. President, whatever happened to your promise from 7 weeks ago that if Democrats [flipped] the Senate that checks were going out the door?” Doocy asked.

Biden ignored the question, so Doocy tried again. He was drowned out by Biden staffers who told Doocy it was time to go.

“Come on Peter, time to go. Thank you,” said an extremely condescending schoolmarm voice from one of Biden’s staffers.

Perhaps they’re taking inspiration from Communist China in controlling the free press and telling it what it can ask and when. Biden had already wrapped up the press conference, so we wouldn’t want any questions out of turn now would we? That would be awfully close to a democracy.

Biden’s Unfulfilled Promise

The fact of the matter is that Biden promised voters in Georgia that he would authorize $2,000 checks immediately if Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock won their seats in the Peach State. While stumping for Ossoff and Warnock, Biden said that the checks would “go out the door immediately to help people who are in real trouble.”

The first unhappy surprise was when it became clear that the actual checks would be for $1,400 since Biden claimed the first $600 of the $2,000 was already covered by the last stimulus check.

After the creative mathematics, the second unhappy surprise was to find out that no the checks would not be headed straight out to those in need after Ossoff and Warnock took the win months ago.

We’re now approaching the end of February, and those mysterious checks are nowhere to be seen.

The House is set to vote on Biden’s $1.9 trillion bailout, and the $1,400 checks which are included in it, so maybe there will be good news in the coming weeks for Americans who are struggling, but Biden’s dismissive silence is not appreciated.

Of course it’s left to the few real reporters left such as Doocy to call out the lies, while the progressive mainstream media goes to brunch and watches Stephen Colbert cry tears of joy about his norms, but the fact is that a real economic crisis is occurring in this country and people need financial relief.

Come on Joe, you can do it.
