With the midterms coming up, many candidates are getting desperate and showing their stranger behaviors. This includes nasty personal attacks, last-minute opposition dumps, and more drama on the debate stage.
Whereas in New York, a nobody computer geek running for the House decided to get attention in a different way. He filmed a porn video with a porn star and uploaded it to the internet.
Self-Described ‘Nerd’ Mike Itkis Puts Out a Porn Video
Mike Itkis is an Independent candidate who describes himself as a “nerd” and an “atheist.” He’s never been married and has no kids.
He says the attacks of 9/11 made him want to do more to protect America, so he entered the military where he became a cybersecurity official helping out with national security.
However, in between these heroic acts, Itkis is very focused on being “sex-positive,” making people less shy about sexual topics and legalizing prostitution.
Part of this for him apparently involved traveling to LA to film videos with porn actress Nicole Sage. The video shows him and Sage discussing their rules and sexual safety practices prior to having unprotected sex on video for about 13 minutes.
Is this kind of stunt really going to help this nerd unseat stalwart Rep. Jerry Nadler from Manhattan’s 12th Congressional District?

The 12th District Race
The race in the 12th district is between Nadler and Itkis, as well as Republican candidate Mike Zumbluskas. Nadler is the clear leader in this race, but it is likely that Itkis could experience a surge in support due to this.
He claims that the video is about proving he’s more than “just talk” and he really means what he says about making sex work legal and opening up discussions on sex.
It is true the majority of politicians don’t end up on sex tapes until opposition teams dig them up and release them against their will after trying to blackmail them. So, trying to get at the moral angle of this is tricky. Politics has never been an extremely moral endeavor.
Though what is interesting about this is how shameless and reality TV-style politics has become. Imagine, even 30 years ago, a candidate voluntarily filming a video of having sex in a hotel room with a porn star to try to go up in the polls.
Certainly, poles were going up, but it’s shocking that Itkis sees this as a winner and it’s made such a little controversy in America in 2022.

Getting Screwed
The American people have already been getting screwed on a daily basis by members of Congress, so maybe this guy thinks he can just continue the proud tradition.
Nonetheless, it is undeniable that America has reached a new low this year.
