Coming Soon to America: Canadian Cops Arrest Pastor for Inviting People to Church

Dr. Anthony Fauci recently said that it’s going to take until “next Mother’s Day” to get back to normal in our lives.

Seriously, he said that.

America might have millions of people who are vaccinated and citizens who are doing their best to follow CDC and government safety guidelines, but they’re beginning to realize that the goalposts will always move.

Once far-left communists begin to seize power under any justification they don’t just let it go.

There’s no better example of that than our supposedly polite northern neighbor of Canada.

Canada is Going to Hell in a Handbasket

Canada’s not just a land of Tim Hortons donuts and hockey, it’s also a country led by a UN-puppet called Justin Trudeau and an entrenched leftist Big Government bureaucracy that would even make California blush.

Canada’s borders are closed and even its own citizens have to pay huge sums and stay in quarantine hotels if they leave the country to travel and come back, with police doing random spot checks on the road to ask why you’re not inside your home.

The latest outrage in Canada has made headlines around the world, as a group of police dragged preacher Artur Pawlowski off to jail for trying to get people to go to church, ordering him out of his vehicle on the highway and restraining him on a busy and dangerous road like a common criminal.

The official reason Pawlowski was taken down is that he held a church service this past weekend where some people weren’t wearing masks or social distancing. The horror! I’m sure police are going to arrest managers of grocery stores for not making customers social distance next as well.

Pawlowski works in Calgary, Alberta, which is one of the most conservative areas of Canada, but even there the long arm of the progressive police state has a firm grip. His brother Dawid was also arrested for “requesting, inciting or inviting others” to illegal, in-person gatherings.

Trying to give people hope and get closer to God during a depressing, awful pandemic. The horror!

“It is important to understand that law enforcement recognizes people’s desire to participate in faith-based gatherings as well as the right to protest. However, as we find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic, we all must comply with public health orders in order to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing,” Calgary police said in a statement.

What is the Legal Basis of This Arrest?

Pawlowski and his brother were arrested under a “Queen’s Bench Order” which gives them the right to basically arrest you on the spot for not playing by the COVID rules on distancing, masks and so on.

In other words, forget any rights that you may think you’re entitled to. If they don’t like your attitude you’re going down.

“Law enforcement agencies can act immediately under this injunction, without the necessity of Alberta Health Services attendance.

There are a variety of ways to enforce this order, including the ability to issue tickets, fines and criminal charges to individuals who are breaking public health orders by organizing and/or attending these events,” Alberta police explained, adding that:

“This can include arrest and removal any person who has notice of this Order and chooses to act in violation of it.”

“In the event of non-compliance, the Order provides enforcement powers, including powers of arrest, for those that are organizing, promoting and attending any public gathering where public health orders are not being followed,” the police added.

Recently speaking with radio host Jesse Kelly on the First radio network, Pawlowski previously talked about growing up behind the Iron Curtain before coming to Canada. Pawlowski and many others are warning that the horror they experienced under communism is coming to the West.

Is anybody listening?
