The liberal media tried to take Texas Senator Ted Cruz down over a stupid two day trip to Cancun during the winter storms in Texas.

He came home, admitted he’d messed up and got on with business. Cruz didn’t grovel.

He’s very familiar with the kind of humiliation and bullying that progressives like to engage in and wouldn’t play along.

And now Cruz just made a new announcement to the leftist lunatics in this country, specifically to those who are now running numerous large corporations:

Game. Over.

No More Mr. Nice Guy!

For almost half a century the GOP has been a reliable ally of free enterprise and corporations who want to innovate and make a profit. Ever since the fusionism of the 1970s when libertarian, free market Randians joined forces with traditionalist Christians in the South to create today’s Republican party the name of the game has been to make things easier for business and boost the economy.

Far too often, in reality, that’s meant giving a pass to multinational corporations who sell out American workers and strip the industry and resources of this country.

It’s also allowed something to creep up on conservatives that’s now become a serious problem: “woke” left-wing corporations forcing their insane progressive views and bullying prejudices on Red states and Bible-believing conservatives.

They recently teamed up to trash talk a fair and square bill that increases voting laws in the state of Georgia to make sure elections don’t get hijacked. Coca-Cola, Delta and others said they were outraged by…democracy, apparently.

More companies piled on. American Express, HP, Nordstrom, MasterCard, Starbucks, Verizon, Uber, Pfizer, Google, GE, Merck, Bank of America, and Boeing were all going on about the new Georgia law. They claimed it was about race, saying the bill was designed to block Black people from voting. There was no word on why these woke corporations think Black Americans can’t get ID.

Now Cruz told the big business leftists that they can show themselves to the exit door.

Cruz to Woke Corporations: Your Woke Money is No Good Here

In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal Cruz took down these woke idiots, blasting them for not actually understanding anything about the Georgia voting law and just repeating tired talking points from the DNC.

Yes, business creates jobs, but that support doesn’t have to be unconditional, Cruz emphasized.

“It’s past time to put these “fair-weather friends” in their place: This time, we won’t look the other way on Coca-Cola’s $12 billion in back taxes owed. This time, when Major League Baseball lobbies to preserve its multibillion-dollar antitrust exception, we’ll say no thank you. This time, when Boeing asks for billions in corporate welfare, we’ll simply let the Export-Import Bank expire,” Cruz explained.

“For too long, woke CEOs have been fair-weather friends to the Republican Party: They like us until the left’s digital pitchforks come out. Then they run away. Or they mouth off on legislation they don’t understand—and hurt the reputations of patriotic leaders protecting our elections and expanding the right to vote. Enough is enough.”

Damn straight!

Whatever you think of Senator Cruz, he’s a brilliant legal mind – remember he was even being considered for SCOTUS under Trump? – and he deserves the backing of all conservatives on this.

Cruz has taken big money from corporations, and he admits it, but he said that is all over now.

“As America’s greatest basketball player observed years ago, Republicans buy sneakers, too. We cast votes, too. And we pay attention when CEOs come after our own just so they can look good for a few editorial pages and radical activists To them I say: When the time comes that you need help with a tax break or a regulatory change, I hope the Democrats take your calls, because we may not.”

Amen to that!
