Many members of the Democrat Party have been supportive of stimulus checks. In fact, some left-wing lawmakers believe that stimulus checks should be recurring for an indefinite time period. Of course, indefinite stimulus payments would have an extraordinary cost while furthermore making Americans more dependent on the federal government.

Many people are still having a rough time, even with stimulus checks. Some folks have managed to get back to work, although Democrats remain eager to keep shutdowns in place for as long as possible.

At this time, the U.S. economy is gradually but surely recovering. However, left-leaning groups such as the Economic Security Project are all too eager to get the public dependent on the U.S. federal government, according to CNBC

The Argument for Another Round of Stimulus Checks

The Economic Security Project has made a name for itself as an organization that believes in “guaranteed income.” Proponents of guaranteed income believe that the government should be responsible for ensuring that individuals ongoingly earn (or are given) a baseline amount of funds within a particular timeframe.

Thus far, the United States government has blown a grand total of $376 billion on handing out stimulus checks. Since 2020, fiscal conservatives in Washington D.C. warned about the dangers of the federal government spending money it doesn’t have…especially when America is already trillions of dollars in debt.

The national deficit and interest accumulating by the second isn’t a concern for the Economic Security Project. No, instead, this group believes that “at least” another round of checks is necessary. The Economic Security Project furthermore remains supportive of making stimulus payments “automatically” accessible to certain individuals.

The Perils of Endless Spending

The Economic Security Project’s calls for more stimulus checks do not align with the best interest of the U.S. economy or American workers.

As many fiscal conservatives have stated, the ultimate stimulus is getting people back to work. The ultimate stimulus plan is the government getting out the way of businesses so they can reopen and get their workers and customers back.

Endless handouts and the “universal basic income” that leftists advocate for will only stifle innovation, entrepreneurship, and true economic recovery in America.
