Democrats and liberals like to talk a lot about “democracy,” “norms” and “diversity.”
But when you get below the surface what they actually want is power, control and conformity. In other words, the opposite of what they say.
Now Democrats are taking formal steps to kick Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene out of Congress because her views and past statements offend them.
A resolution to get rid of Taylor Greene was put forward recently by Representative Jimmy Gomez of California who claims that past hyperbolic statements by Taylor Greene make him genuinely worried she may “wish harm upon this legislative body.”
“I take no joy in introducing this resolution. But any member who incites political violence and threatens our lives must be expelled,” Gomez said, adding “I’ll do everything I can in my power to protect our democracy and keep all my colleagues safe.”
Could MTG Be Kicked Out?
The short answer is yes. The odds aren’t high and it’s only happened five times in the history of the United States, but it s possible.
Still, with two-thirds of the House having to vote for the expulsion it’s unlikely that it will actually succeed.
Nonetheless, there are Republicans who also want MTG gone, with 11 siding with Democrats to kick her out of her committee assignments due to her past statements that called for violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and advanced the view that various school shootings were staged and 9/11 was an inside job.
In terms of now getting her out of Congress as a whole, Gomez and 70 other Democrats have signed onto the bill, but Pelosi said it’s not going to be something that House leadership can get behind.
“Members are very unhappy about what happened here, and they can express themselves the way they do. What Mr. Gomez did is his own view. And that is not [the] leadership position,” Pelosi said.
As a shrewd politician, Pelosi knows the resolution will fall flat and has no interest in wasting time on it.
Nonetheless, Gomez’s resolution is important for several reasons and provides important clues about the next phase of the radical left’s game plan.
I was just told @Twitter suspended me for 12 hrs in “error,” on the same day Dems introduced a resolution to expel me from Congress.
What a coincidence?
Twitter’s little error wasn’t resolved until after 12 hrs.@jack which employee made the “error?”

MTG Hits Back
For her part, MTG is not known to be a docile lamb and she hit back hard against Gomez, saying “there is nothing more threatening to Democrats than strong Republican Women!” and that “Democrats are trying [to] overturn the will of the People.”
Democrats accuse MTG of being dangerous and unhinged because of past statements that advocate violence against Pelosi, President Obama and Hillary Clinton. This includes apparent support for the idea they could be executed for treason.
MTG has said that Pelosi is “guilty of treason” which carries the death penalty.
Since being relieved of her committee assignments, MTG has been interrupting hearings and meetings by forcing votes, annoying adversaries and colleagues as she works to delay and frustrate Democratic legislative scheduling.
Attempts to remove Congressman Eric Swalwell from Congress were unsuccessful, and formed part of the backdrop to the current push to kick out MTG. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said the attempt by the GOP to get rid of Swalwell because of “deeply disturbing” revelations about his connection to the Chinese spy he had an affair with were just a political stunt.
“This vote today was a frivolous, political exercise meant to attack the reputation of an outstanding Member of Congress and distract from House Republicans’ failure to hold their own Members accountable for inappropriate and outrageous actions,” Hoyer said.
Perhaps Hoyer needs to go take a look in the mirror at his own party.
