More Hot Air: US Rejoins Paris Climate Agreement

U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry Remarks on COP21 and Action Beyond Paris by COPPARIS2015 is marked with CC0 1.0

America is officially back in the Paris Climate Agreement. Forget about American First, jobs or basic logic: the Joe Biden Administration is determined to sink this country into every self-defeating trap they can find.

Biden already ordered the reentry on his first day in office, but it now becomes law. The agreement was signed in 2015 but President Trump left the agreement because he stated correctly that it would hold the US back from economic growth and prosperity.

The US reentry into the agreement had a lot of ceremonial bigwigs talking and celebrating each other’s greatness, including climate czar John Kerry and UN Secretary General¬†Antonio Guterres.

It’s basically a repeat of Kerry’s 2015 signing of the agreement but virtual this time thanks to the pandemic.

What is the Biden-Kerry Plan?

Even though he was unsuccessful in becoming president in the past, Kerry is clearly committed to wielding his influence to remake America as a climate-change-obsessed nation, saying there’s only nine years left until we’re in apocalyptic scenarios. Kerry said the US will have to work dramatically to make up for lost time under Trump.

“We feel an obligation to work overtime to try to make up the difference. We have a lot to do,” he said during ceremony remarks.

Biden wants to get greenhouse gas emissions down to zero by 2050, and Kerry is in charge of that. The main way he will be going about it is to increase regulations and incentives to get away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy.

As we already saw when Biden axed thousands of Keystone XL Pipeline jobs, Kerry’s response had no empathy or normal concern. He’s an entitled progressive millionaire who faked his war record to get political clout: Kerry’s not interested in the “little guy” who has to actually pay bills and look after his family.

Climate Change is Priority Number One for Biden

As we’ve already seen with Chuck Schumer saying climate change is his top concern and other progressives in the United States and around the world we already have an advanced look at the priority for the left. Bill Gates even has a new book about how to beat climate change, and – surprise, surprise – it involves turning your life upside down and giving the government more control.

Biden’s already pushed through over a dozen executive orders on climate change and made it a priority for the entire federal government machine. He’s hosting a big climate meeting on April 22 and putting out a list of all America’s commitments at that time which will be called the¬†Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).

Meanwhile the UN is set to hold their upcoming climate conference in Glasgow this November which you can bet will include some private jets to take the special big brains to sit and eat caviar and talk about how smart they are. At this point why not just hold a permanent climate conference that goes 24/7 every day and plays on C-Span?

Kerry claims that the US is going to get China to commit and find a way to reign in its massive greenhouse gas emissions and UK Ambassador to the US Karen Pierce even said – bizarrely – that China could serve as a “helpful partner” with the US in fighting climate change.

“The closer we all are together on climate, the more we show the rest of the world that they can join us and help reduce global warming,” Pierce said.

What planet are these people actually living on?

The more Western nations come together to restrict themselves the more they hand China a blank check and open playing field to do whatever the heck it wants and keep pumping the atmosphere full of poison at our expense.

At least one person is very happy about the US reentering the Paris Accord. UN Secretary General Guterres amped up the drama, saying “This is the race of our lifetimes” and “we must go much faster, and much farther.”

I just have one question: how long until the climate lockdowns start?
