Four people are dead and over 52 injured after MAGA protesters stormed the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. yesterday. They arrived in order to interrupt Congress’ recognition of the electoral college vote certifying Joe Biden as the next President.
Who Was Killed?
One of those killed was 35-year-old Ashli Babbit of San Diego, CA. Babbit was a 14-year Air Force Veteran with top-level security clearance and a strong supporter of President Trump. She appears to have been shot in the neck by Capitol Police while unarmed during occupation of the Capitol.
The day before her death, in a post that Twitter has since removed, Ashli tweeted:
“Nothing will stop us…. they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours….dark to light.”
Ashli Babbit, you truly defended the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. What happened to you today was senseless! Rest In Peace beautiful patriot! pic.twitter.com/WOgbNz5Cxf

Pipe Bombs Found
Details have not yet been released on the other three deaths related to the rioting, but they include one woman and two men in the Capitol area who reportedly died of unspecified “medical emergencies.” Dozens of DC cops were also injured during clashes with one in serious condition after being gang-beaten by a crowd of rioters. At least 52 arrests were made during the riot.
Pipe bombs were also reportedly found at DNC and RNC headquarters and detonated safely, as well as a container with a long gun and Molotov cocktails stored in it ready to use.
Lawmakers hid under desks and grabbed gas masks while protesters entered the chamber.
President Trump put out a video telling people to go home peacefully while acknowledging their anger, but still had his account locked by Twitter and later Facebook. Twitter threatened a permanent suspension if he’s found breaking their rules again.
The Bottom Line
The mainstream media is already working overtime to make Babbit’s death sound unclear or like it was the fault of Trump rioters, when she was unarmed. As her friend Axelrod has said, she and her husband were libertarians who simply wanted to be left alone and were not associated with the “far right” nor were they Antifa in any way.
Claims are already emerging from some Trump supporters that the rioters who entered the Capitol were being led by undercover Antifa or were a setup in order to discredit the President, although solid evidence that there was widespread infiltration of the protesters has not been proven.
What is clear is that a lot of people angry about the lack of clarity they feel around the recent elections, the lockdowns and the detachment they feel from their political leaders stormed the building and tried to find politicians and get answers.
Some joked around sitting in Senatorial offices and posing for photos, while others shouted out slogans and chants. The security breach is definitely significant, and if any foreign intelligence operatives were among the protesters they could have planted malware and various programs on computer systems in the Capitol, which is of significant concern for national security.
Nonetheless, the media hysteria over what happened is interesting to see. When BLM and Antifa goons burned down cities and gathered in huge groups the media celebrated it as a time of justice and healing.
Now that Trump supporters have had enough of the double talk and media misinformation they are being cast as the worst criminals who ever walked the planet.
Either way there is no doubt that this violence will be used by the Democrats to justify further left legislation, stricter rules around any entry to the Capitol or access to politicians and demonization of Trump supporters as dangerous and unworthy of being listened to in any way.
